Journal Prompt 1 & instructions
Dear Scribblers
Most days I will post one single prompt. You can use this to write a diary entry, or create a scrap-page, or use it to inspire you to think. Let your own mind and inspiration wander, you never know where it will take you.
Occasionally, I may add a comment or a project of the day, but most days I will leave it up to you to use it as you will. I hope you enjoy the journey.

Do you ask everyone else for advice instead of following your own intuition?
"Like an ability or a muscle, hearing your inner wisdom is strengthened by doing it." Robbie GassListen to your own inner voice regularly. Hear what you have to say. Go beyond the surface negative thoughts and delve deeper. It's probably the most trustworthy answers you'll ever get.

The Crafty Scribe's favourite quotes - 28 and Project of the Day
Dear Scribblers
Project of the Day - Journal or Scrap a project entitled - "Today, I am glad. Today, I am grateful for..." What are you grateful for today?
Happy Scribing!
From tomorrow on I shall be sad, from tomorrow on. Not today. Today I will be glad. And every day, no matter how bitter it may be, I shall say “From tomorrow on I shall be sad, Not today.” Jewish Child - Holocaust Death CampDoesn't this make your heart weep? If an unknown child can think like this at such an evil time or place, I am sure we can all behave a little better. I'm not saying we are all naughty, nasty or spoilt; nor am I saying that our own problems are not important. I just think that sometimes, we can make mountains out of mole hills. By taking a step back from your problems, you sometimes realise that they aren't as important as you first thought, they are not a massive deal. Looking at them from a positive view-point makes every moment that little bit easier.

The Crafty Scribe Favourite Quotes - 27 and Project of the Day - Feeling Low and The Honey Jar Cure
Dear Scribblers
Reading this quote this morning, made me realise that I am the only one who can change how I view life. Okay, there are some things I can't change as they are out of my control, but I can change how I think about them, how I'm going to react to these situations, and to take action and look for positive solutions.
So what has this to do with creativity? Often negative thinking. and being stuck in the honey pot, can restrict your inspiration and even desire to do anything positive and crafty. If you can change the way you think, even by switching off the sadness for just 30 minutes to craft or write, you'll find that this relief time will produce a gateway back into positivity. When the wasps are circling overhead, a little step like doing something you enjoy for a short time will open yourself up to optimistic thoughts.
Instead of wading through honey, you will be taking a spoonful of sweetness instead to help soothe the stings in your life.
Project of the Day - The Honey Jar Cure
Get an empty clean honey or jam jar with a useable closing lid. If you want to, embellish the jar. Then take small strips of paper and on each one write a problem you have in your life, and drop it into the jar. Close the lid, and put the jar away.
When you do this, think that you are releasing yourself of all the negativity associated with those thoughts, and allow the positivity in. This doesn't mean that you forget about your obligations, you still need to act and work on resolving them. It's just now you do it without the negative thinking and worry. You often find answers quicker when you allow inspiration to flow.
Leave it a month, then go back and open the jar. Go through each of your problems. Now look at what you wrote with more enthusiastic eyes.
If the problem has been resolved, take it out of the jar and throw it away. If it's still on-going. Write on the back of the slip a positive statement about the problem. For example: if you wrote, "I run out of money before the end of each month" write on the back an affirmation such as; "I budget my funds successfully, and open myself up to increasing monetary abundance."
Then put this back in the jar, and add any new obstacles you may have. Repeat this monthly. Remember as you close and tighten the jar, think that the negativity attached to each issue can not harm you, and that you open yourself to creativity, positivity and solutions to your problems.
If you try this project, please let me know, as I would love to hear about your results.
Happy Scribing!
p.s. Only 3 more favourite quotes to go, until the new series "Positive and Creative Prompts to Aid Journalling."
"The difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is one of mind, of mental outlook, of belief, of faith, of vision, of principle, of character." Henry Thomas HamblinIsn't that the truth? This is definitely a quote that I need to think about. I've been a little downhearted recently, and finding that certain areas of life are like wading through honey. It may seem sweet at first, but it's sticky, sicky, messy and attracts beasts that sting!
